Registration Deadline March 20, 2026

Welcome to the study materials section!

The five-team members will take the written tests for aquatics, forestry, soils, and wildlife together. The team will also develop and give a 20-minute oral presentation based on an environmental scenario the committee will email to registered teams before the state contest.

The test writers have updated the study materials for the 2026 contest.

Aquatic Ecology received the most edits. The information has been modernized to make it current and uses online resources instead of referencing books.

Soils has had new resources added including links to YouTube videos to help explain concepts.

Oral Presentation includes a copy of the scoresheet judges will use. There are also study resources about non-point source pollution from the national Envirothon. This can be used as background information to develop a 20-minute oral presentation teams will develop and present to a panel of judges on the day of the contest. PowerPoint can be used as visual aids. The judges will have 10-minutes to ask the team questions following the presentation. The Arkansas Envirothon committee will email the scenario the oral presentation should be based on to registered teams before the contest.

Forestry resources have been reduced to the essentials that students need to know.

Wildlife has had the least changes. Materials where the links no longer worked have been removed.
