Arkansas Envirothon is an affiliate of the National Conservation Foundation (NCF) Envirothon program.
Overview of the Arkansas Envirothon Program

Identify an advisor who is interested in starting an Envirothon program.

Form an Envirothon team (five students and one alternate)

Team trains in the four areas: Aquatic ecology, forestry, soils, wildlife

Learn basics for the current issue of the year to help with oral presentation preparation (Non-Point Source Pollution in 2026)

Register for the Arkansas Envirothon State Competition and pay $100 registration fee.

When the scenario is shared prepare a 20-minute PowerPoint presentation to bring with you to the contest.

The day of the contest the five team members will work together to take 100-point tests for each of the following: aquatic ecology, forestry, soil, and wildlife

The team will give their 20-minute presentation to judges who can then ask questions for up to 10-minutes.

Winners will be announced on the day of the contest

If the winning team of the state contest scores an average of 75% on the four written tests, the team will be able to represent Arkansas Envirothon at the National Conservation Foundation (NCF) Envirothon contest.

The 2026 NCF contest will be at Mississippi State University in Starkville, Mississippi from July 19-25, 2026.
